Favorite thing about JMU: The people!
Why I went through Recruitment: I went through recruitment because when I was in high school my lacrosse team was really close and I wanted to find something like that here at JMU. Greek life ended up being the perfect place for me to be myself, have close friendships, and feel a part of the JMU community.
Favorite thing about being a part of Greek Life & Panhellenic: My favorite thing about being a part of greek life is that I get to meet so many amazing women. It really makes the JMU community seem more close and smaller. Also, it creates an immediate connection between you and your classmates when you see someone wearing letters. My favorite part of being on Panhellenic is that I have learned so much about myself and met so many amazing women in other chapters!

Words to live by: Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance
Favorite thing about JMU: The spirit and energy of JMU is infectious. The students seem to feel privileged to go here and want to work hard to improve all aspects of campus life. The environment of JMU has helped me to feel welcomed and connected. I now feel a part of something and know that this is something unique to James Madison.
Why I went through recruitment: I did not know anyone at JMU since I came from out of state so I really felt that joining a sorority and going through the process of recruitment would help me to meet people, gain some confidence, and learn more about the school itself.
Favorite thing about being on Panhellenic: The best part about being on the panhellenic council has been the connections I've made between different members of the Greek Community. I now know so many individuals in every fraternity and sorority. From my experiences, I hold a deep appreciate for each chapter. There are benefits and uniqueness that sets each apart and it took me the time to step back from my own affiliation to realize that.

Words to live by: "We started with the origins of tradition, but aren't bound by them."
Favorite Thing about JMU: That everyone shares a mutual love for JMU and that everyone holds doors for each other.
Why I went through recruitment: I wanted to make the most out of my time at JMU and didn't want to miss out on the experience. I actually signed up at the last minute because I wasn't sure I wanted to be in a sorority, but I'm so glad I did.
Favorite thing about being part of Greek life etc: I love being part of something huge. It's amazing to go to a school with so many students and immediately have something in common with a so many of them.My favorite thing about being on Panhel is that I had an opportunity to work with an amazing group of girls, all whom bring different ideas to our group for the betterment of the greek community. My favorite thing about being in sorority is that, even though there are so many of us, I've made some of my best friends at JMU within Phi Mu. I also love meeting perfect strangers who are also in Phi Mu and having that bond of sisterhood between us, even though we go to separate schools.

Favorite thing about JMU: The Bluestone buildings on old campus
